Starbucks Gold Card

I'm finally a happy owner of a Starbucks Gold Card!!!

It probably took us three months to achieve gold level.  It's worth the wait though:-)  In about a week I will receive my first freebie given to gold card members. Woohoo!

So guys, if you buy or receive a Starbucks card as a present, remember to register it right away. You become a green level member after 5 stars (one transaction equals one star).  Then on your 30th star you become a gold level member!

As a member, you get a lot of coupons in your email. I usually just show the email from my cell phone to the barista or give them the product code.  We also have the Starbucks app on our phones which comes in very handy when we order in store or drive thru.  It has a barcode that the baristas scan when we order.  No cash or credit card needed!!

Oh, did I mention that I'm totally in love with Starbucks' Very Berry Hibiscus and Cool Lime drinks?  Yeah, go ahead and try them!

Year of the Snake

The year 2012 was tremendously good for me. Having our baby has been life changing and exciting at the same time. I say goodbye to 2012 with sad and sweet tears. I am looking forward to 2013 as I know there's a lot in store for us. I know in my heart that the coming year is mine to claim.

I'm Alive!

Well well well...look who's back?:)

Where do I start??

I guess I'll start with the biggest and brightest news - I'm now a Mommy!!! To say that it's occupied most of my time would be an understatement. I love every bit of it though. Though I refuse to be all mushy and sentimental about it, let me just say that being a parent is a huge and challenging responsibility. Every day is a day of learning. There are a lot of sleepless nights, scary moments, and even no-shower days, but I really believe that if it's something that you asked for, you can't complain. We prayed for our baby and we're lucky that our prayers were answered. So there, every details of it, good or bad, is a blessing. Have I mentioned that our little princess is the cutest baby in the world?? Haha here comes the stage mother in me. I wish I could post pictures. Maybe when she's older.

2012

As much as I loved 2011, there's just so many things to look forward to this new year. I received many blessings last year that I decided to just enjoy each and every moment. I hope the same goes for you. Everyday is a brand new day which gives us an opportunity to make things better. We should always find something to smile about everyday and be thankful for anything, big or small. I never believed in making New Year's resolutions. I just make it a point to change or improve myself when I feel like I'm ready to commit to it. I do believe in having mantras though. It's easier to follow and believe in. For this year, one of my mantras is to have at least one big hearty laugh a day. It makes me realize just how lucky I am with everything I've got. And that alone makes a huge difference in my life.

donuts are for big girls

There's a new flavor in town and it's called Red Velvet.

It's pretty good but I still think the original glazed is everyone's favorite. But do you see that donut with the holiday sprinkles? That one is deceiving. Grown ups actually love it. Who am I kidding? Grown ups love donut, end of story.
